Most of the Carpatho-Rusyns are Greek Catholic.Some tens of thousands eventually returned to the Orthodox Church.They inhabit the Carpathian Mountains of Eastern Slovakia and Ukraine,with some villages in Hungary and Croatia as well.They have their own East Slavic language written in the Cyrillic alphabet and there is a large diaspora in the US.The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America includes the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of North America headed by His Eminence Metropolitan Gregory.
