The conference took place in the Turkish city of Antalya at a Turkish academic institution,and the Mayor of Antalya gave welcoming remarks after His Eminence Metropolitan Job of Pisidia,who was in secular dress according to Turkish requirements.Only Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew or Pope Francis are allowed to wear clerical robes outside of the Ecumenical Patriarchate's compound in Istanbul.His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew gave the first lecture.
