Ecumenical Patriarch Meets with Bulgarian Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Before Departure from Sofia
Before his departure from Sofia,His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew had extensive discussions with the Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov and Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel and their entourage.They met in a special hall of Sofia International Airport.On display were Bulgarian and EU flags,before which the three dignitaries posed for a photo.Afterwards,Patriarch Bartholomew presented the two leaders with small gifts.On the way out,he bid farewell to the Ambassadors of Greece and Turkey.He was escorted to his chartered aircraft by the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister,blessed them by making the sign of the cross over them,and waved goodbye at the top of the stairs.
