On 25 December 2023,His Beatitude Patriarch Theodoros II of Alexandria and All Africa received His Holiness Pope Tawadros II of the Coptic Orthodox Church,his namesake,at their traditional Christmas encounter in Cairo,Egypt.After cordial statements were made,gifts were exchanged,followed by a kiss of peace.Pope Tawadros gave out Coptic Orthodox calendars as a souvenir to the Greek Orthodox attendees.The Egyptian press covered the occasion.
