St.Porphyrios of Kavsokalivia (20th century) was a hieromonk and archimandrite at the Kavsokalivia skete on Mt.Athos,Greece.He was also a hospital chaplain for many years in Athens,where his room is preserved to this day.St.Porphyrios was a mentor to the noted chanter Nektaria Karantzi when she was a child.He was a Wonderworker and had the gift of spiritual discernment.His day is 2 December.*Mmembers of the Russian expatriot community in Cyprus attend this parish.*At he readings of Great Vespers:Sofia,Proskomen (Wisdom,Let us attend) Irini pasi (Peace be unto all) Klionomen (Bow your heads to the Lord) Chant at the blessing of the loaves:Rich men have gone begging,but those who trust in the Lord shall not lack any good thing.
